The Lee family founded Freedom Church in 2008 after God made clear the call to start a powerful church in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. This vision became a reality when several families sold homes, quit jobs, and moved 400 miles to Acworth, Georgia to start what would become Freedom Church, where J.R. serves as lead pastor.

J.R. has an overwhelming desire to see lives changed and people who are far from God experience life in Christ. This vision has led Freedom Church to become a multi-site church recognized as one of the fastest growing churches in the country.

J.R. graduated from Liberty University and resides in Acworth with his wife, Devin. They have three children, Lexi, London, and Bryce.
